I know plenty of spiritual people that embrace honest intellectual inquiry and welcome scientific insight without their faith being threatened – because their faith is inspired by self inquiry, learning and growth, not the literal, dogmatic interpretation of the word of god that fundamentalists feel everyone must heed.
