Elon has significantly reshaped two industries—Tesla has made EVs a viable market; and Space X has turned the cost of entry to space upside-down. Those critical of Musk seem to undervalue these points. It was unfortunate that Democrats showed little support for either initiative.

But Elon's mental health has revealed signs of deterioration. Specifically, there are indicators that his brain physiology has changed.

Rather than his thinking being centered in the parts of his brain where logic and creativity are anchored, Elon's current thinking habits seemed to have shifted to the 'amygdala'. This is where anger, revenge and hate originate.

The problem with an active amygdala is that a person loses access to the higher functions of the brain, where innovation, logic, context, good judgement and emotional intelligence originate.

I hope that Twitter was a smart move, but there are clear indicators that Elon's state of mind will be his undoing.

I should point out that MAGA, as a movement and ideology, is a product of active amygdalas at scale.
