As someone who has witnessed aerial discs moving in tandem and executing manoeuvres suggesting technology, not natural phenomena, I get the point. There’s a social cost to sharing the experience (I called the authorities, only to get hung up on). Nonetheless, I can’t blame scientists for being unconvinced. Regardless of what I and others have witnessed or captured on media, we still haven’t collected irrefutable evidence. Science has standards, and I think that’s important.
