Andor has raised the bar, I hope Gilroy’s involvement with the franchise has become a source for positive disruption. I like how Gilroy declined to use the writers, directors, designers, set-builders or technology of Lucasfilm – instead he brought in his own network of seasoned film industry talent. By comparison, Lucasfilm showrunners Filoni and Favreau look downright sophomoric, seeming to surround themselves with mediocrity.
